The Scite '08 (Student Conference in Information Technology Education) Seminar was held last August 21, 2008 at Paskuhan Village, City of San Fernando. Being a Computer Science student, seminars are very important on our course because we can get Information about the newest technologies and by attending seminars they provide certifications which are our advantage when applying a job.
On this Scite Seminar, different interesting topics are discussed some of this are about Cyber Crimes, outsourcing & offshoring, Game Creation Flow, and the feature of the new Operating systems. By attending this seminar i have learned about different kinds of cyber crimes which are very important to have knowledge on how to know if the websites that we access have viruses that can cause the malfunctioning of our system and how to prevent this Threats. One of the other interesting topic discussed is the Game Creation Flow, I had experience on how the games we play created and how its being processed until the game is presented to the gamers. One speaker discuss about Operating System which is Vista Operating System, he discuss about the different features on WindowsXP to Vista. One interesting he discuss is about Silverlight and how it must be use.
Seminars are very Important because by attending on this we gain more knowledge about different kinds of things and by attending this Scite I have learned the thing that I do not know, that why we must attend on it.
